API Support Agent

Job description

Tiqets is one of the fastest-growing tech scale-ups in the Netherlands. And we’re hiring!

Who are we?

Tiqets is revolutionising the way people buy tickets to culture and attractions in cities all over the world. Our technology allows users to easily browse and book tickets to the best attractions in seconds, meaning customers can enter museums, landmarks, attraction parks and more simply by showing their smartphones.

Job profile

Tiqets consumes many external APIs that enable us to promote and sell tickets from our museum and attractions portfolio. As an API Support Agent, you will assist our development teams by monitoring API performance and responding to API incidents. You will also work with our developers to ensure that any problems are resolved in a timely manner. In addition, you will identify and suggest improvements for API monitoring, tooling and related systems based on your own experiences and learnings.

Other tasks include providing operational support for incidents related to supplier connections and product configurations. Within Tiqets you will work closely with the Development team, but also with City Managers, Business Developers, and Product Management.

  • Monitoring supplier APIs.
  • Investigating potential failure and deciding when action is required.
  • Following up on the entire life cycle of an incident and its wrap-up.
  • Keeping the relevant stakeholders up to date.
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of known issues and their resolution.
  • Being the main point of contact with the technical parties of our suppliers.
  • Identifying and reporting points of improvement and assuring they are acted upon.

  • Great communication and people skills
  • Experience working directly with business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal English (Dutch is bonus)
  • At least 1 year programming experience
  • Basic understanding of web services, JSON and XML

What we offer

  • A competitive salary and opportunities to learn
  • Lots of responsibility and influence within our flat company structure. We’re professional but informal; we never wear suits
  • A global team of highly skilled and ambitious colleagues
  • A development team centered in Amsterdam (near the Amstel Station); we strive to stay as close to one another as possible
  • Discounted tickets to culture, and a healthy testing budget too
  • Fresh coffee, tea and fruit
  • Social events, Friday night drinks, regular information sharing sessions (more often than not with beer and pizza), and lots more!
