Job profile

We're looking for a hotshot translator to join our team of linguists. The language of need is Dutch. We need someone to help us translate our dynamic English copy into this language, making sure that the text is engaging, informative, sticks with the Tiqets tone of voice and is error-free. Responsibilities

  • Translation of web copy from English into Dutch
  • Proofreading and editing of pre-translated copy
  • Following, and where necessary, updating our Style Guide
  • Working with Tiqets communications and work platforms including Slack, Transifex and Trello

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Native fluency in the Dutch (written/spoken)
  • High level of English
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills for the target market
  • 1+ years of professional experience in translation and localization of texts (education may be considered in lieu of work experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritize
  • Responsible independent worker
  •  Availability for 2-3 days per week


Pluses

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in translations
  • Previous experience as a translator and/or interpreter in the travel/leisure industry
