Job profile

We're looking for a hotshot translator to join our team of linguists. The language of need is Japanese. We need someone to help us translate our dynamic English copy into this language, making sure that the text is engaging, informative, sticks with the Tiqets tone of voice and is error-free. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Translation of web copy from English into Japanese

  • Proofreading and editing of pre-translated copy

  • Following, and where necessary, updating our Style Guide

  • Working with Tiqets communications and platforms including Slack, Transifex and Trello


Qualifications

  • Native fluency in Japanese (written/spoken)

  • High level of English

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills for the target market

  • 3+ years of professional experience in translation and localisation of texts (education may be considered in lieu of work experience)

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritise

  • Responsible independent worker

  • Available for three days per week

  • Living in the Netherlands

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in translations

  • Previous experience as a translator and/or interpreter in the travel/leisure industry

  • SEO skills
